Oil & Gas Upstream
We have been supporting the upstream, or exploration and production, oil and gas sector both offshore and onshore for over 17 years.
From enabling safe replacement of specialist gratings, installation of new steel work and piping tie-ins, to the provision of fabrication workshops and temperature controlled environments, we enable hazardous work to continue whilst plant is live – thus improving productivity by reducing shut down days.
Working with the major operators around the globe to improve process safety and risk management, we have aided the delivery of more than 10 million safe production hours, unlocking $500 million in cost savings.
Saving you time and money, and keeping your people safe.
Oil & Gas Midstream
As we work with companies throughout the oil and gas supply chain, the midstream sector, involving the transportation (by oil tanker, barge, pipeline, rail or road), storage and wholesaling of crude oil and petroleum products from production sites to refineries, is core to our business.
Standard repair and maintenance projects, such as plant upgrades, blasting and environmental containment or heat treatment, can all be carried out safely using our SAFEHOUSE habitats and engineered protection systems, without the need for shutdown.
Our early intervention and involvement in the planning of such work scopes enables simultaneous operations to go ahead safely, adding value to projects whilst enhancing the working conditions and environment for your people
Oil & Gas Downstream
Naturally, the downstream sector, that deals with the refining of crude oil, and processing and purifying of raw natural gas, as well as the wholesaling of products such as petrol, diesel, kerosene, heating oils, lubricants, waxes, asphalt, natural gas, LPG, and hundreds more petrochemicals, is a high risk environment.
Using our knowledge and experience from extensive offshore applications around the world, we are supporting our onshore, downstream clients with innovative solutions for working safely in zone (1 and 2) restricted areas.
From completion of hot work to coatings and prevention of cross contamination, our ATEX / IECEx certified products can be integrated into plans to ensure this engineered protection will really add value to projects by enhancing the process safety regime – increasing tool time whilst keeping people safe.
The distilling industry is the lifeblood of many communities, none more so than in Scotland where we work with some of the major global distilleries.
In line with DSEAR 2002, we work alongside maintenance teams to plan, deliver, install and manage safe working environments, to enable alcohol production to continue safely whilst hazardous work, such as hot work in an explosive atmosphere, is carried out. This includes maintenance and repair work to stills, bottling halls, transmission rooms and warehouses, which where appropriate, may be designated to be zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas.
Using our unrivalled knowledge and track record in the oil and gas industry, our equipment is specifically recalibrated for the distilling industry, and we are ready and waiting to help you safely maintain production by providing safe areas for hazardous work.
Our capability to provide safe working environments, and our depth of experience, is relevant to numerous industry sectors, including:
- Chemical processing
- Food processing
- Water treatment
Our engineered protection and habitat systems have a wide range of applications within these industries and can be used for providing protection for staff working in hazardous areas, such as repair and maintenance, or hot work, areas where temperature control or enhancement is required, creating exclusion zones, or for noise and odour control.
